philosophies.

  • What works for me might not work for you. What works for you might not work for me. That's the fun of it.

  • If it empowers someone to feel more themself, and it's not hurting themself or you - let em live.

  • It's ok to change our minds about things, big or small.

  • Sometimes it's embarrassing to be wrong, but being ok with being wrong is the fastest way to grow.

  • It's ok to consider aesthetic packaging an important factor of your purchasing decisions.

  • There are no rules. All of them so far have just been made up by other people! Things just don't have to be this way.

  • Always leave it better than you found it. Applies to every and any circumstance.

  • Let's just take better care of each other, and yes, ourselves.

Beauty Chaser and Content Creator

Hey there, it's so nice to meet you. I'm Annie.

Based in Los Angeles but rooted in rural Washington State, my style is a reflection of the simple and unassuming nature of the pacific northwest, yet curious and coastal as a southern californian.

I'm obsessed with beauty - and not just creams and contour - but also the way the light streams in at 6pm, the way different flowers smell, the different songs of the birds, the way designers use color and pattern to make you want to stay at a restaurant for 3 hours, the unique features of each face we look into. And of course - the way a skincare regimen can give us 10 minutes of solace in the evening and the way a bronzer livens up my complexion.

My love for beauty started fresh out of college, working as the resident "beauty expert" at the retail store i helped manage as we welcomed cosmetics and skincare into our doors for the first time. I then moved into marketing with a beauty brand startup, then jumped to beauty eCommerce, where my love and education only grew.

I began @chillmoodychill during a gap year of work - when I was living with my family during a particularly hard year of multiple health crises in my loved ones - and having this space, this other world to peek into each day was my therapy and catharsis. Plus, I just missed talking about and testing beauty every day and geeking out with other people.

Now, I work in fashion and live in the suburbs of Los Angeles with my husband and two cats, Little Foot and Wednesday, where I continue to step into this world other day with my beauty friends.
